Description:
The course will look to provide an introduction to the many areas of innovation, research and technology development across the offshore renewable energy industries.

  • November 22nd, 13:30 – 14:30 – Session One: a general introduction to engineering and renewable energy.

  • January 24th, 13:30 – 14:30 – Session two: introduction to offshore wind power and floating wind power.

  • February 27th, 13:30 – 14:30 – Session three: introduction to tidal power technologies.

  • March 26th, 13:30 – 14:30 – Session four: introduction to wave power technologies.

  • April 25th, 13:30 – 14:30 – Session five: introduction to future technologies on our path to Net Zero.

  • May, 13:30 – 14:30 – Session six: introduction to the use of robotics and autonomous systems (RAS) in the operations and maintenance (O&M) of offshore renewable energy assets.
